Cost Estimator needed w/Master’s degree or Foreign Equivalent in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and one (1) year experience as Cost Estimator or Jr. Estimator performing following job duties:
Review drawings, specifications, narratives and supplemental information for completeness, clarity and compiling questions & comments related to the project’s scope of work. Attend Jobsite walkthroughs and incorporate costs associated with millwork scope to prepare accurate Estimates. Prepare and send RFI’s using Procore, Outlook, Building Connected and iSOFT as per the requirement of project. Coordinate answers received from clients and General contractors. Prepare detailed Millwork Estimates of Projects by reviewing Architectural, Interior Designs, Engineering drawing sets, Bid Requirements and Project manual. Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates through all stages of project engagement using Bluebeam and MS Excel. Develop and maintain a library of sources, information and pricing. Follow up with open estimates until awarded. Present project and estimate to the engineering team with an Explanation of the entire scope of work, project schedule and special conditions. Estimate and document change orders as per project changes per architecture and clients requirements. Monitor progress of the job by making sure that manufacturing meets the project schedule and long lead items do not affect the schedule.
